My friend and i have a band called the sunstars, its more like a duet, than a band, we were both wondering if anyone had any ideas on getting us noticed by a record lable, or a music producer? We have looked in google and yahoo search. does anyone have tips??? We don’t want anyone else to be in our band becuase they don’t know our songs, but if we could find a producer that could hire a band that would be great!! Thanks!!
btw me and my friend sing the songs and dont play them, thats why we need a band to play the music. or have the someone use the computer to make the music!
You have to pay your dews. O.k. get a band and start doing gigs. There’s no shortcuts. If you have your own songs and music you are on your way. But you still have to put in the hard work too. Try to get a manager and get some gigs on the college circuit. you may be 1 in a million.

nyways how I worked my band
we have played together for 3 years all of us our skilled at our instruments and we write all of our own stuff so how you get to this point you ask well when we started playing its all about getting your groove together and feeling eachother so I recomend playing a whole lot of cover songs just for that purpose but dont limit yourself to one genre play alot of different ones even ones you dont like just to get variety. This is all coming from a drummers perspective ok next is the drummer this guy has to be super dedicated to make your music sound great most novice drummers that I teach even ones that have played for 5 6 years start playing metal or punk or w/e and never develop rhythm and technique with variety im sure you know what Im talking about. anyways the drummer makes the difference between good or bad music you can have shitty repeat guitar but as long as drums kick *** its gonna keep people pumped. ok so next step your obviously still in school? play at talent shows school events etc other options would be local venues (you cant play bars too young) and practice like hell on your own and with the band when your 18 you can play bars by this time you will hopefully be good enough as a band too. so all wrapped up its not easy work if you want to hear yourself when your not all caught up in the music get some recording done this shows you which stuff you need to improve on oh and btw as well a singer is one of the most important peices in good music you can have great musicians and shitty singr and this makes you all look bad so really take time to look for someone who is passionate about singing and is actually good aks another thing you can do ia play parties at friends houses so more poeple here you play and you can get feedback other ideas once you start recording get a myspace music. and i can tell you right now dont worry about getting big just worry about the quality and feeling you get from your music chances are you wont get big and your priorities will change so this is to only benefit yourself because you love it not because you love saying your in a band people can see this when they watch you play if you are passionate or not they will know so practice practice practice practice till your fingers bleed and takeall my advice youll be playing local shows in a couple years

i could be a little help i mean you could post up flyers around your neighborhood and call a recording contractor and discuss what you want to happen i hope all goes for the best
