Where would I find a list of serious record collectors?

I have a record collection of approximately 300 individual records. They include 16 2/3, 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM. Can’t determine the age of many but know they range between early 1900s thru 1970s. The music genres are Broadway Musicals, big band, classical, early rock and roll, jazz and country western. I have assembled a detailed catalog I can provide that includes record lable, record sizes & RPMs, artist and music. May also help to know that the original owner handled these with the utmost care. Have attempted to listen to most of them the past couple of months to determine playing condition and found only 2 out of +200 that skip or are "scratchy"

I’m not looking to "win the sweepstakes" by selling them and don’t know what the collection is worth, but know there is some value to them and would like a fair price.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
CSH

I have recently found that collecting music is my passion! May be I can help Little. I have 3000 45s but may can give you a general idea. Record prices are listed at Gemm.com and will give you an idea what they are selling for. Early rock and roll can be high priced if you have the right stuff. I would research alittle. I am always looking to buy records or research them if you want to send me a sample listing. I need the label, number artist and size. There are also alot of resources on goldminemag.com Good Luck, Bobbie

We too have a vinyl collections in the thousands (five or so).
Everyone feels there vinyl is worth a fortune, unfortunately this is not true…
Right now what is wanted is the 70′s phyc. music, and Jazz and early rock and roll. We did happen to come across a country music lover who bought hundreds (I think three hundred or so) of our vinyl, but this is a rare.
The older records you have that are of the turn of the century if shipped to another climate, if not careful they will blow up on the person (meaning big chunks will blow off the record. Interesting site to see!! ), so keep these in a climate controlled atmosphere.
Rule of thumb for your 10" vinyl with cardboard covers (they only came like this) some not all but some of these are worth good money.
Broadway musicals we probably have 100 or more and I will give them to you if you think they are worth something lol! Classical good luck! Rock and roll of the 80′s some of them are worth something (ac dc book price $8 bucks this is NM which means opened but not played. Some Kiss is worth something, but I think you are even talking earlier then this right?), but they best way to sell these are to find us who still listen to our vinyl and who like the band/artist. Also be careful of the phonies out there, these are records people made out of there garages back in the day. They look and play like they came from a big company but were not. Some people do collect only these. Usually live concerts these were a victim of.

Then when pricing you need to make sure the "goodies" are inside of some of them. Posters, ordering cards, owner cards. Some of them (like this Beatles ’69 vinyl of ours) was made into a clock. Not everything is worth something…..

We have 200 vinyl albums leaving here real shortly. If you are into trading or just wanting some let me know. 7" Some of these are worth more then entire 12" vinyl with cover, sleeve in NM condition! I even had records from the depression era here that were made of some sort of pressed wood (found a buyer for these real quick!). We have plastic, cardboard, all sorts of records that play.
It is a different world! Something is only worth what someone will pay!

No expert here just been knocked around some with our vinyl lol!
