Do you believe in musical genres?

I don’t. Musical genres are just a way for the record companies to sort the music out for the sake of the financial sales and what not. But then people get so emotional about these genres saying, "iTunes! How could you put (insert pop star name here) under rock music!"

or

"iTunes! How could you put (insert artist of one hit wonder r&b/ hip POP song) under Hip Hop!"

It drives me crazy with these lables lables lables!

I used to back in the old days..

Now, however, any attempt to categorize music is ridiculous and you end up with a 5 or 6 word name like "Acid Rock Jazz Fusion Punk…"
