    I have nothing but …
I have nothing but respect and admiration for Prince, but the D.I.Y. via Internet Business Model was actually pioneered by Todd Rundgren, long before Prince adopted it.

    AntiMTVMovement …
AntiMTVMovement dude Prince invented the myspace and Itunes system way before the internet explosion (you know the Radiohead and NIN so called “innovations” ), is that’s not a good marketing plan I wonder what is.

By the way he was the first major artist that give his CD’s away for free.

    This man is a …
This man is a musical genious and incredibly brave 4 putting the machine out on front street… Being his own entire musical entity affords him the luxury of not caring whose toes he steps on. My opinion is he is 1 of the greatest musicians alive and through the decades we have been blessed 2 witness his struggle through the music industry. I thank him 4 stickin with it and standing up 4 what is the TRUTH in so many facets. Love love love this beautiful man.

    not necessarily…i …
not necessarily…i know people 20 years older than me, they do not consider the eighties whack, while they have the same opinion like me, about what’s going on in music-biz today…also i have lots of respect 4 generations that came before mine, they did fantastic stuff in their time. so why can’t your generation show the same respect?

and what do you know about music? i own over 3000 records, have a own studio and i am a DJ for 20 years, so i think, i know what i’m talking about!

  16. jingling30 says:

    every generation …
    every generation says that, silly.

  17. FreakMagnet66 says:

    Absolutely, wasn’t …
Absolutely, wasn’t it the “company” who tried to destroy thus his changing his name from price to the symbol and then back once his contract expired? And writing “slave” on his face an expression of being a slave the the “company”? I do realize media will destroy anyone if it will make them money but comparing the two is like comparing Donny Osmond with Michael Jackson, accept Donny and Michael had a lot more in common.

  18. AntiMTVMovement says:

    If Prince learned …
If Prince learned to market himself he wouldn’t need record labels. But I applaud him for exposing record labels for the frauds they are.

  22. zarcon85 says:

    why is it so …
why is it so important, what the youngsters know or not??? in a world of throwaway MP3′s lady gaga and soulJah boy i don’t give a f!”%ยง about the youngsters tastes…they have been in the brain so hard, they won’t realize good music, even if they got bitten by it in the ass…

  23. zarcon85 says:

    yeah, maybe he …
yeah, maybe he wants it that way, but you’ll be surprised, how many people really into music actually like him a great deal…to mepersonally, it will be as equally sad as roger troutman’s, JB’s or MJ’s final curtain…

  24. zarcon85 says:

oh, but yes he did. …
oh, but yes he did…! why do you think he was going to london…and try to copy prince’s 21nights in london-thing in the very same arena…?????

  25. zarcon85 says:

    truth is, prince …
truth is, prince had to fight hard 4 that freedom, and got called paranoic…also, he was at a very young age producing his first record, but he was no star-kid, right…but prince had a lot of pressure, too…just differently! media tried to destroy prince as well, but at least in the US he seems to be on top again…top-earning artist of 2004-2005 isn’t exactly what i would call a worn out rockstar, as some state here…! no comparing them, too different!
