This is, by far, probably the best video of Dead or Alive’s 1984 hit “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)” from their album Youthquake on YouTube today. It’s the full video, instead of the regular and common 3:03 minute video and has GREAT sound.
The song reached number one on the charts in March 1985, taking about seventeen weeks to reach the top. The music video itself was cheaply made and tells no story whatsoever, but has interesting visuals (the disco ball, Pete Burns wearing the eyepatch, so on and so forth). Pete Burns had said in an interview that they had no idea the song would reach number one, and the video was crap, but it did it’s job.
