I want to record a cd od music with me playing all the instruments, what is the cheapest way to do this?

Can i record music online without spending money?

No you can’t record music online. Even if you could, it would sound so bad, no one would want to hear it. Not even yourself.

I’m sure you won’t be using over 24 instruments at a time, so buy a 24 track mixer. It’ll probably run you about $500-$800 depending on quality. Then you’ll need an acoustic microphone. Those aren’t that spendy, but if you want a quality one, expect to pay around $400.

There are a lot more specifics to make the sound better, but all you really need is a mic and a mixer, so start with that. You can make a recording booth with sound foam later on.

You are going to need a mixer, and the number of tracks(instruments) you want on that song will determine the cost. you will need one track for each instrument, record one at a time and then overlay them. Cost, you will need to shop for that.

I recorded 2 cds on a Fostex 8 track digital recorder $300. I needed to buy mics, a compressor $200, a djembe drum $150, $10 china crash cymbal, other cheap percusion (I have guitar and bass stuff already), and a cd burner $200. You might be able to do it cheaper by buying software for your computer. That Fostex is the absolute minimum for a good recording, one song at a time, then you have to master it and dump it onto a separate cd burner to save it. And you will need a metrodome for overdubs, Korg earpiece $20. And a mixer for mics, special effects like reverb. But software for computer comes with these things I think. I don’t think you can do all of that online. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, that first good recording of drums, guitars, vocals, everything in time. I sell mine at cdbaby.com It is much easier to buy a 24 track digital with a cd burner, 12 track Korg $850 discount price.
