Times of Your Life/Water Runs Deep, PAUL ANKA, U.A. XW737

My early introduction to the delightful world of western pop music and vinyl appreciation. TIMES OF YOUR LIFE by PAUL ANKA, originally recorded for the Kodak Eastman Commercial.
Available on 1970′s Greatest Hits – as contained in Box set; Live and In Concert (live version).

LYRICS:
Good morning, yesterday
You wake up and time has slipped away
And suddenly it’s hard to find
The memories you left behind
Remember, do you remember?

The laughter and the tears
The shadows of misty yesteryears
The good times and the bad you’ve seen
And all the others in between
Remember, do you remember
The times of your life? (do you remember?)

Reach out for the joy and the sorrow
Put them away in your mind
The mem’ries are time that you borrow
To spend when you get to tomorrow

Here comes the setting sun (the setting sun)
The seasons are passing one by one
So gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life?

Gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life?

Of your life
Of your life
Do you remember, baby
Do you remember the times of your life?

FADE

Do you remember, baby
Do you remember the times of your life?

Duration : 0:3:16

This particular song and ALL OF YOU WHO UPLOADED PAUL ANKA’s songs,
thank you so much. I do now know how to classify his music, but I feel he has a
genre of his own – HIS SONGS DO NOT MAKE ME SAD, NOR EMOTIONALLY LADEN, JUST PERFECT – very healthy kind of music. Paul Anka, you will live forever and ever in the memory of mankind. You are so blessed.

I was 15 years old when this song came out and I was head over heals in love with Estella, of course she was 17 and already had an older boyfriend who wanted to kill me but Estella told him, “touch one hair on his head and you and I are history”, thank god he listened and I didn’t get an whipping from a 20 year! Ah the good old days! Abel

    @PaszerDye It is …
@PaszerDye It is depressing. Some people just don’t appreciate lyrics. Void in most of today’s music is the passion, meaning, and soul behind the lyrics. Nowadays, the raunchier, the more vile, and perverse the video and lyrics are the better.
