    Someone said that …
Someone said that it is magic when an LP is played and may be its true. For instance, altough I’m aware about how does it work, it is so impressive to see how sound is piked up by a stilus and everything goes around of the oscilations un the groove…! in few words IT’S MAGIC..!

    Fad? Not for true …
Fad? Not for true music lovers! Vinyl has been kicking for 60+years. The only reason it slowed down was record companies went to cd’s ..not because vinyl lover stopped loving the vinyl. Now that they see Vinyl lovers are still out there they are getting back in the game. You know when mainstream stores like Best Buy start carrying Gun n Roses, U2, Dave Mathews Band, and The Police on vinly that it has worked it’s way back into very commercial markets. That means MANY people want it!!!

  8. mrhoffame says:

    Actually for a …
Actually for a vinly collector it is just the opposite. There is a quality added to the music by the physical contact of the needle to the record that you loose with cds. There is a cruch, especially with good classic rock, that is lost with a remastered CD. I would agree that it’s a fad if record lables were not making more vinly now than 10 years ago. Heck..your big commericial stores like Best Buy are even pushing it. I certainly respect your opinion though! Whatever media..just rock!!

    That is just it… …
That is just it…cd edits the sound far to much. . Honestly, you can play a vinly record a number of times and get different versions of a song played back. There is actually interaction with the music because of the physical contact of vinly. In case you don’t know the needle vibrates in grooves to produce the sound much the way you play a guitar and vibrate the strings. It’s never the EXACT same each times. Reproduction of vinly sounds a step closer to “live” than a cd ever could.

    And SACD blows away …
And SACD blows away redbook CD…you’d agree?

  12. Mortison99799 says:

    CD blows vinyl away …
CD blows vinyl away for sound reproduction. This is just a fad. Whatever, it’s not hurting anyone, so who cares.

    LOVE it! It’s good …
LOVE it! It’s good to see someone who has an active interest in this format. My world has just gotten smaller. I have approximately 2000+ albums and 2000+ 45′s. LOVE the sound, the richness, the feel of the vinyl record. Let’s keep this interest going!

    I think Vinyl does …
I think Vinyl does sound better and If you think about it. Some of the Greatest Hits of all time were made during the era when vinyl records were in and they sound great. So I think it is actually funny but great that vinyl is back.
